Youth Worker Continuing Education Scholarship

Attending Youth Ministry conferences as continuing education is a fantastic and important way for your church to invest in young peole. If you are participating in one this year that is not included here, please feel free to email the information to Meg Witmer-Faile so that we can add it. If money would prohibit you from attending a conference, please complete the application (see below) for a Continuing Education Scholarship from the Central Texas Conference. A limited number of scholarships are given each year, and are contingent upon you asking your church to support you first.

Ordinarily these are “in-person” events, however, safety concerns due to COVID-19 have resulted in these Continuing Education events being presented in an online format. This will mean the price is significantly improved, but the classes and workshops will still be available to you.

Two options (but not limited to these two) are:
  • Perkins School of Youth Ministry: http://www.smu.edu/Perkins/PublicPrograms/PSYM (This 4-day conference, based in Dallas, will change the way you do ministry and will introduce you to great new friends).
  • National Youth Worker Convention: http://nywc.com/ (NYWC has been training, equipping, and encouraging youth workers for more than 45 years as part of Youth Specialties).

Please note: If you are awarded a CTC Scholarship, you will be considered a representative of our Conference, and must take the responsibility seriously. You will be expected to attend the Continuing Education event in its entirety. Should you cancel your registration, or not attend all sesssions, you will be required to reimburse the CTC the entire amount of your scholarship within 30 days.
