Our Mission: to engage young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry, support children in holistic development, and connect churches with communities.

Every year, hundreds of college age young adults commit a summer or year of their lives to serve and build relationships with children and youth from low-income communities, live in intentional community, and explore a call to ministry and service. Through the power of relationships and by leveraging a unique collaboration with local churches and community partners, Project Transformation (PT) equips young adults for leadership in the church and the world, empowers children to achieve their God-given potential, and supports churches in being in ministry with their neighbors.

Project Transformation provides two key services:

  1. Leadership development and ministry exploration opportunities for college-age young adults through summer internships.
  2. Community-oriented summer day camp programming for children from low-income neighborhoods.

The young adults provide this second service, giving them authentic, hands-on experiences leading high-quality programs for children and youth and equally important, learning from the children and youth. PT’s programs focus on enriching the body, mind, and spirit, but we place a unique emphasis on literacy. During the summer, each child is paired daily with a volunteer to read one-on-one. Programs are strategically housed in churches in the heart of low-income communities. This partnership between these site churches and Project Transformation is designed so that churches can leverage the program to make new connections and form meaningful relationships with families in their immediate neighborhood.

The Central Texas Conference is excited to host one of the newest chapters of Project Transformation! We are busy preparing for our third summer.

For young adults interested in applying for an internship,

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW READY

For Churches there are two wonderful ways to be involved.

  1. We are seeking site churches to host the program in the Tarrant County area.
  2. Partner churches are also needed to sponsor interns, and provide volunteers.

If your church would like to partner by volunteering to read one-on-one with children or by providing a meal to the interns,
