The GO Center provides access to online resources along with the after-school mentoring and tutoring to help students and families look ahead to a bright future with hope. Online resources help students vision a better tomorrow, and mentors from the church help students think through steps to make their vision a reality. What a beautiful picture of the possibilities that exist when our churches reach out and partner to meet needs our local communities. Way to GO FUMC Grapevine!
Another recent “Kingdom Building” event saw Central Texas families receive the gift of the word for their souls and a roof over their heads. The recent “Building on Faith Dedication

Celebration” was indeed a celebration as 17 families received bibles and keys to their new homes through the work of
Habitat for Humanity in partnership with the United Methodist Church and other faith-based and community partners. The Lopez and Salazar families in particular were very thankful to the people of the Central Texas Conference.
The Lopez family (
see photo to the right of the Lopez family with Troy Champman, Metropolitan Board representative, Bob Greer, Genesis UMC and Dawne Phillips) became homeowners through the BUILDSTRONG DONORS and
Metropolitan Board of Missions in partnership with
St. Luke UMC,
FUMC Arlington,
St. Barnabas UMC,
Richland Hills UMC,
Meadowbrook UMC,
FUMC Mansfield,
Ridglea UMC,
FUMC Colleyville,
Whites Chapel UMC and
University UMC. The Salazar Family received the keys to their new home with the support of
FUMC Fort Worth,
Trinity UMC and
FUMC Keller.
