Register now for 2020 local pastor’s licensing school. As newly certified candidates of the Central Texas Conference you are required to attend local pastor’s licensing school within one year of becoming certified.  I wanted to give you information and the registration link for this year’s licensing school.  Because of the COVID-19 pandemic we, along with over half of the other conferences in the US, are partnering with Emory University’s Candler School of Theology to do online licensing school this year.

The school will be 5 weeks long beginning July 10th and ending August 14th and all sessions are asynchronous (pre-recorded so you may watch when you choose during the week). Assignments will come out every Friday for the following week.  You will turn in your assignments weekly.  We will have a mandatory in person (if allowed) kick off on Saturday June 27th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at Smithfield UMC and an in person (if allowed) closing on Saturday August 22nd (time and place to be determined).  The two Saturdays are the only in person meetings of the school.

The cost of the school is $600 with the Board of Ordained Ministry paying $300 for each student, leaving $300 as your responsibility.  Candler will direct bill the conference for their portion of your fee.  Below you will find the registration link.  If you have any questions or need any further information please contact Kathy Ezell at
