Growing, establishing and nurturing effective clergy and lay leadership is essential for the local churches of the Central Texas Conference as we work toward our fulfilling our Wildly Important Goal of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world and continue to grow our churches in average worship attendance and professions of faith.  The committees of the local church in the United Methodist Church are parts of the local church, and they are instrumental into achieving our mission. Trustees, Finance, Administrative Board, and Staff Parish Relations Committee work together and co-create ministry that happens in the local church.

We, the Central Texas Conference Service Center seeks to energize and equip the local church to do all that a local church needs to do, and this includes the ministry of the committees of a local church. Over the next couple of weeks we will be releasing video based trainings to help these committees be more effective in living and achieving our mission or making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
