Day 1 Speaker: The Joy of Play

After graduating from Baylor University with a telecommunications degree, Kyle moved back to Dallas and began working at White’s Chapel UMC, where he still serves. He took comedy classes a year later and in 2009 became a co-founder of the Dallas Comedy House where he teaches, coaches, and directs shows. He has performed at the San Francisco Improv Festival, Dallas Comedy Festival, Improv Festival Oklahoma, Chicago Improv Festival and the Orange County Improv Festival. He really likes festivals. Kyle has studied improv under some of the best instructors in the world from iO, the Second City, The Annoyance, UCB and The Pit.

Rev. Willacin Velanne Gholston

Day 2 Preacher: The Power of Prayer

In the spring of 1999 Rev. Gholston graduated from Bennett, ranked the number two student in her class with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in French. The focus of her studies was in international affairs. To begin her graduate studies, she attended the Gerald Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, for which she was granted a Ford Fellowship. She received a Masters Degree in Public Policy in the Spring of 2003. In the spring of 2009, Rev. Gholston graduated Summa Cum Laude from Perkins School of Theology at the Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) where she received a Masters of Divinity Degree. She was ordained an itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in the fall of 2009. She is currently certified as a CPE Supervisor in the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) and works as the Manager of Pastoral Services in the Methodist Health System of Dallas

Rev. Gholston has conducted several dynamic and empowering seminars on topics including The Church and an International Response to HIV/AIDS and Church Growth and Evangelism. She has preached in pulpits throughout the United States, Canada and Southern Africa.
