Growing, establishing and nurturing effective clergy and lay leadership is essential for the local churches of the Central Texas Conference as we work toward our fulfilling our Wildly Important Goal of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world and continue to grow our churches in average worship attendance and professions of faith. Effective evaluation of our leadership is also a vital component of our WIG success and is also essential if we are to be vital partners and make a difference in our local communities.
It is the responsibility of the Staff Parish or Pastor Parish Relations Committee of each local church to annually review the ministry of its pastors. The Central Texas Conference Evangelism Task Force have designed updated Clergy and S/PPRC evaluation forms to more effectively assist Staff Parish or Pastor Parish Relations committees in providing clear and concise feedback to their pastors.
Please review and download the following video on the updated Clergy Effectiveness form to learn what is new with the form as well as the process the conference follows in evaluating the ministry of clergy. The video also reviews both principles of evaluation and considers some specific ways to use the forms in the evaluation process. This short video is presented by Mike Ford, Conference Lay Leader, Rev. Holly Dittrich, Executive Pastor at FUMC Hurst and Rev. Danny Tenney, Senior Pastor of FUMC Burleson. It is the Evangelism Task Force's hope and prayer that will be encouraged, energized and equipped by this video to more effectively evaluate your church leadership and that you live into our Wildly Important Goal (WIG) to Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.
