Job Description:

Acton United Methodist Church is looking for a detail-oriented person with a passion for sharing stories of God’s
grace through online worship, social media, and audio/visuals in worship services. The three primary drivers of
our current communications strategy are our actonmethodist.com website, church Facebook page, and church
Livestream account. Media Ministry has been identified by our church leadership as vital for the success of our
mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Essential Functions:
● Overseeing all in-house media (sound, visuals, etc)
● Strategizing, planning and executing a compelling, effective and user-friendly online worship, social
media, and website experience
● Provide technical expertise and mentoring to church staff and church members on new ways to utilize
different medea to accomplish the church’s mission
● Strategizing, planning, and executing an on-going plan to develop a team of media volunteers
● Produce live events by calling camera shots, operating a broadcast switcher, and producing live event
productions
● Producing consistent, quality work in a timely manner – either by taking personal initiative and/or by
meeting deadlines set by Senior Pastor
● Working with pastoral team and ministry directors to support the vision of the church
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 2 years in creating content for web/social media, working in church media, or running a
soundboard for events is required
● Must be proficient with a broadcast switcher, have sound board experience, be able to program and
facilitate lighting using a lighting board
● Hear and see well, climb stairs, lift 50lbs
● Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required with the necessary work experience.
