There are currently four generations of adults among our church members:
Builders, Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials.
As we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, churches need to be attentive to where people are in their life and faith journey. Even within generations, individuals can be at different stages of life and dealing with very different challenges and issues. That means that churches need to understand who people are− how they learn, engage with the world, and grow in faith− both as individuals and as a generational culture.
Find more information on generational differences at UM Communications.
