Bishop Mike Lowry, episcopal leader for the Central Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church has announced that the 2021 Central Texas Annual Conference meeting will be held June 20-22. The conference will be held online with limited in-person availability. Originally the dates for the 2021 conference had been set for Oct. 3-6, in Waco, Texas, to follow the postponed 2020 General Conference which was set this August and September. With the further postponement of General Conference to 2022, Bishop Lowry, in consultation with the CTC Annual Conference Planning Task Force, decided to move the Annual Conference meeting back to the standard early-summer meeting time. The conference will still be produced from First Methodist Waco as originally planned.
Please save Sunday evening June 20 through Tuesday, June 22 for the Annual Conference meeting. Details about worship services, the Service of Commissioning and Ordination, the clergy and laity session, the business meeting and more will be announced in the coming weeks. Watch your email, ctcumc.org/ac21 and your district webpages for those details as they are available.
