Youth Service Fund Grant

Youth Service Fund (YSF) is a mission fund exclusively of United Methodist Youth. YSF is money raised by youth, and spent by youth  to benefit youth. For every dollar of YSF money raised, 20¢ goes to the United Methodist Youth Organization where youth from across the US determine grants given to ministries helping youth across the world. The 80¢ that remains in the Central Texas Conference is used for CTC Youth Ministry grants. Our Youth Service Fund Task Force, made up of representatives from each District, shall determine how YSF monies from this Conference are spent, upon the approval of the CCYM Executive Team.

  • The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ, therefore projects will be examined to see how they challenge youth to live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • The project must be youth-related (6th-12th grades).
  • YSF grants should have a substantial effect on the project.
  • YSF grants will not be used to fund a deficit.
  • Projects should be racial/ethnic inclusive whenever possible.
  • Preference will be given to United Methodist projects within the connectional system. Projects of other churches and cooperative efforts between religious groups will be favored next. Finally, projects sponsored by secular organization that meet CCYM criteria will be considered.
  • Priority will be given to those projects that are youth-led.

Applicants are encouraged to email Claire Condrey any supporting documents, pictures, etc.

All YSF grant requests must be submitted no later than December 1, 2017.

Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by January 26, 2018.
