"A ministry of education and advocacy to help churches develop their own ways of responding to the needs of mental illness. Educating clergy, laity and those within our communities about the nature of the illness and of how best to treat it will be the primary focus of this ministry. This education will help connect needs with available resources.
To provide mental health education and advocacy at the local level, a grant has been established to assist with the cost of inviting mental health professionals to provide local church training. Grant applications are received through the Conference Mental Health Coordinator.
Tony Campbell, Executive Director of the Depression Connection Team, provides mental health education for clergy and laity, as well as private consultation for persons who need assistance in finding appropriate treatment. See flyer for contact information
