 2008 Discipline ¶633.3 – The conference Secretary of Global Ministries will work with the Outreach chairperson to relate the annual conference objectives and scope of work to the General Board of Global Ministries.  When a conference supported missionary is scheduled to visit our conference, the Secretary of Global Ministries is the individual who is contacted by the General Board of Global Ministries and who schedules the itineration and requests transportation and housing for the itinerating missionary.

Please see the attached letter from UM missionary Willie Berman.  Willie serves in the Eastern Mexico Conference and coordinates mission teams along the border and in various areas of Mexico.  He has a great relationship with many CTC churches.  Please click here to learn about how your congregation can support Willie and/or get involved in the wonderful ministries for which he provides coordination.

The Central Texas Conference continues to grow in its covenant relationships with missionaries of the General Board of Global Ministries.  In 2009 ther were 71 churches in the Central Texas Conference in some level of relationship with a missionary, including 30 covenant relationships.  We hope to continue to grow in the coming year with the additional efforts of the District Mission Secretaries.
