Figuring 2013 Pension (CRSP) and Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP)

 A. Clergy Retirement Security Plan (CRSP), the current United Methodist Clergy Pension Plan, is direct billed to your local church in twelve (12) equal installments.  There are two (2) components.  They are:

1.  Defined Benefit (CRSP-DB):

Full-time clergy — $7,300

3/4 time clergy —  $5,475

1/2 time clergy —  $3,650

1/4 time clergy —  $1,825

2.   Defined Contribution (CRSP-DC):

3% of plan compensation:  Figure plan compensation by one of the following:

                a.       If the pastor lives in a parsonage, multiply line A salary from the 2013 Pastor’s Support and Compensation Form by 1.25 (adds 25%).

                b.       If the pastor has a Housing Allowance in line G from the Pastor’s Support and Compensation Form, add that amount to the line A salary.

B. Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP) - 3.1% of Plan Compensation of eligible pastors.  (If your pastor is not eligible, your church/charge will not receive a billing for CPP)

* The pastor's Personal Investment Plan (UMPIP) is a separate issue and is withheld from his/her salary.  You will receive a separate billing for UMPIP from the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits.
