Lay Servant Ministry courses offer a variety of training opportunities and support for laity (the people of Christ) as you minister through caring, preaching, witnessing, leading, serving others and interpreting our United Methodist heritage. Requirements: The Basic Course should be taken before the advanced courses. The courses are 10 hours long and participants must be in attendance and participating for the entire course to meet the requirements. Please bring your Bible, pen and notebook. If you are unable to attend in your own district, or you are located more closely to a location in another district, you may attend courses outside of your home district. Preregistration is required for all classes.
