Several churches also collected materials that were requested for the Red Cross shelters in Tarrant County.
In response to the recent hurricanes, the conference will be collecting UMCOR flood buckets again this year. If you didn’t get a chance to contribute to the flood bucket collection in August, this is your chance to get involved! A mission team from the Central Texas Conference will be leaving for UMCOR’s Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, LA, early on October 12. Assembled flood buckets may be delivered to the following locations from Monday through Thursday, October 6-9:
CTC office - 464 Bailey Avenue, Fort Worth - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Woodway UMC - 21000 Woodway Dr, Waco – 9:00am to 3:00pm
Central UMC, Brownwood – 1501 Second, Brownwood – 9:00am to 4:00pm
