What to Expect on CTCYM
What to expect on CTCYM...
You should expect to have a life changing week of service, worship and fun with fellow missionaries from around the Central Texas Conference. The schedule below will give you a general idea of how the week will progress.
|
Sunday:
At some point in the day, you will gather with your group and head toward your Living Center. You will know your exact destination in the Spring before your trip. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by the Leadership Team in charge of your Living Center. You will meet the youth and adults from the other churches staying at your Living Center and get unpacked and settled in. That evening you will receive you orientation about the Living Center and the work you will be doing during the week. You will also be assigned to a work team that you will be with the rest of the week. Each work team as approximately five youth and two adults from a variety of churches.

Monday - Friday (Thursday, for Junior High):
Each morning you will rise early, have a morning devotional and breakfast and head out with your work team to your work site. Work will range from painting to construction on someone's home. You will continue your faith work with a lunchtime devotional. Usually, you will have the opportunity to spend some time getting to know the family you are helping. After a good day of work, you will head to the showers and clean up for an evening of activities, dinner and worship.

Saturday (Friday, for Junior High)
On this last day, you will do the final packing and head out for the Closing Worship, an exciting time of praise and thanksgiving to God for a great week of physical and spiritual growth. Here you will come together with all the other youth and adults who have been working alongside you at the other Living Centers. There is no better way to understand the impact of CTCYM than through this exciting, energy-packed worship service.
