Carolyn E. Stephens Position Description

Associate Director for Mission Ministries/Director of Communication

 

Areas of Responsibility:

This position is involved primarily in the ministries of the Conference Witness Council, but, due to the communications component, has periodic interaction with most all aspects of the Conference. Additional responsibilities include ongoing liaison with two to three districts plus responsibility for crisis communications management. In the latter category, this position works with individuals, local churches, districts, and other organizations within the conference such as the Central Texas Methodist Foundations and various outreach ministry organizations. Under unique one-time circumstance, I serve on the General Conference 2008 Directors’ Roundtable with responsibility for the Pre-General Conference Briefing, all aspects of public relations, regional/local media relations, and various other preparations for this denominational event.
